Christine Zedelmayer has over 20 years of diverse management experience, including managing executive level projects to deliver company objectives and becoming a trusted advisor to CEO and executive staff. She is an adaptable, agile leader who has successfully managed multiple, complex projects across the value chain. Her broad background and experience in the areas of Investor Relations, Alliance Management / Business Development, Project Management, and Information Technology provides her with a strong business approach to solving client needs.
Prior to forming Centerra Consulting, Ms. Zedelmayer worked in industry and provided leadership at such diverse and leading companies as Hybritech, Ligand, Amgen, and Amylin Pharmaceuticals. During her ten year tenure at Amylin she led a variety of functions including Investor Relations, Strategic Alliance Management, and Information Management.
In her IR role she was responsible for supporting Amylin in raising over $200M in equity, led the marketing launch to investors of the first once-weekly diabetes therapy in the US and Europe, managed highly sensitive lawsuits and proxy contest, and ultimately, assisted with the successful sale of the company to Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2012 for $7B.
Prior to IR, Ms. Zedelmayer led the Alliance Management function within Business Development at Amylin. She was responsible for leading and managing the Amylin - Eli Lilly global collaboration throughout various stages of partnership lifecycle including all facets of governance, contract interpretation and negotiation, issue escalation and resolution, US and global product launch, and led the transition negotiation of termination of the overall collaboration in 2011.
Ms. Zedelmayer was originally hired by Amylin Pharmaceuticals to build an information management team, systems infrastructure, processes, and core capabilities to support a company growing from 350 employees to 2500, and the global launch of three major diabetes products.
Before joining Amylin, Ms. Zedelmayer also held various leadership positions within IT at Amgen and Ligand Pharmaceuticals.. She started her career as an electrical engineer supporting the manufacturing technical support lab at Hybritech.
Ms. Zedelmayer received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering at San Diego State University and an M.B.A with Finance emphasis at California Lutheran University. She also completed a year-long executive leadership course at Northwestern University in Chicago. Ms. Zedelmayer is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP, license # 1602309).
